Description
Cefoperazone Sodium is a white or slightly yellow, hygroscopic powder. It is freely soluble in water, soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol (96 per cent). If crystalline, it shows polymorphism.
Application
Used as a cephalosporin bulk drug and intermediate, suitable for various infections caused by sensitive bacteria such as pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sepsis, peritonitis, pelvic infections, etc. Should be combined with anti-anaerobic drugs.
