Product details

DMCERA® Boron Nitride Machinable Ceramic

Boron nitride machinable ceramic is an advanced synthetic ceramic material and formed by hexagonal boron nitride powder at high temperature and pressure. h-BN called “white graphite”, difference with graphite: high level electrical insulation. Its unique properties –high melting point,up to approximately 3000℃ and can be used at around 2200℃ in high vacuum.High thermal conductivity as same as stainless steel.High thermal shock resistance, BN will never crack even if repeatedly heated to temperature 1500℃ and rapidly cooled.High volume resistance and low dielectric loss.Free-machining is suitable for all kinds of common metalworking. Lubrication performance. Low reactivity with molten metals and low reactivity with gases, solvents.

DMCERA®Boron nitride machinable ceramics have several solid grades, differentiated by binder and composite. The unique combination of highly exceptional thermal, physical and chemical characteristics of BN ceramic makes it ideal for solving tough challenges in a wide range of industrial applications.
